Property Manager Assistant

Our rental company needs to fill an opening for the position of Property Manager Assistant.

We manage 100+ apartments and homes throughout Starkville.

We are looking for a friendly, outgoing individual who has previous experience and can offer quality care and communication to our tenants.

You will work along side and answer directly to the Property Manager and property owners.

You will become the public face of our properties and the key liaison between the management office and our current and prospective renters.

Some responsibilities include:

  • ​Establish rapport with tenants and provide personalized service

  • Investigating and resolving property complaints and rental violations

  • Monitor use of community parking lots, including laundry, mailboxes, and dumpsters

  • Manage email accounts

  • Update website and marketing sites with availability

  • Gather details from tenant maintenance requests and coordinate property maintenance

  • Inspecting properties and arranging for repairs and new materials as required

  • Inform residents of routine maintenance occurring within the property

  • Meeting maintenance company for entry to units 

  • Minor maintenance- lightbulb replacement, air filter replacement, pest control 

  • Must be available for lock out calls

  • Paying property expenses, including taxes, mortgages, insurance premiums and maintenance costs

  • Reporting the property's financial status, occupancy and expiring leases to property owners

  • Advertising vacant properties and answering potential tenants’ questions

  • Attention to detail to ensure applications are accurate and tenant issues or questions are adequately addressed

  • Meeting potential tenants, showing them the property and assessing their applications in accordance with anti-discrimination laws

  • Follow up with prospective renters

  • Prepare and execute leases

  • Collect application fees, security deposits and rent payments
